Hello, My sites get affected after Google's new update. I am confused about my all my seo approaches. I want to know what to do and not to do after this Google penguin update. Thanks Nishant
Hello Google said that don`t over SEO. But quality backlink, white hat seo, manual link, is important a site.
1) Dont use exact anchor texts 2) Dont use repeated keywords in the title 3)Dont Excessive inner links in the cotent 4) Dont do over optimization
One of the best way I think to overcome the effects of Penguin update is to follow the genuine method of SEO which include building genuine backlinks and avoiding spamming approach as much as possible. Building links on related content site is going to get the preference over the normal backlinks building approach.
Get Quality Backlinks, I think most of the Article Direcories and SB Sites have lost over 90% of their value.... And get backlinks from web 2.0 sites, Google loves them.
Hey Guys, The Panda and Penguin updates were put in place to reduce spammy link practices and shady content practices. Therefore if your site was linked to by any sites practicing these tatics, those links were essentially nullified causing your site to drop in authority and rankings. Even before the updates you should have been monitoring your link profile vs your competitors to ensure your profile looked natural. To do this use Open Site Explorer by SEOMoz (http://www.opensiteexplorer.org) and type in your website. Then download a CSV copy of the EXTERNAL LINKS ONLY. Now head on over to Link Detetive (http://www.linkdetective.com), make an account, and start a new project. Step 3 of your project will be uploading that CSV you just downloaded and then go grab some food because you will certainly be hungry from all your hard work! After about 10 mins you should see a complete profile of the links you just uploaded! Now do the same thing for your competitor (ranking #1) and print BOTH out. you can compare them side by side and see where you need to improve your profile. From this report you can see: How natural your profile looks (I.E What percentage are forum links, blog links, etc...) - If you have a lot of one category that was hit hard by recent updates this is the cause of your drop in rankings Your anchor text distribution - This can help you avoid over optimization that was a big focus of the recent updates. I hope this helps keep you all high in the SERPs! ~ Nick B.
1. Don't fall victims to "seo" service providers here that offers blog comments, dir submission, article syndication etc. They don't work if not done properly, 99% of them don't do it properly 2. Do what is right, build links naturally, focus on quality links and vary your keywords.
Please try to avoid the following 4 things - 1. Aggressive exact-match anchor text 2. Overuse of exact-match domains 3. Low-quality article marketing & blog spam 4. Keyword stuffing in content, Meta Tags & internal/outbound links
Avoid the over optimization. Use diversify the anchor text, build backlink with relevant sites, do not keyword stuffing.
