I have a product Idea but would need to outsource almost everything... - Squeeze pages - Sales videos - Auto responder emails - members site creation - customer service - on/off site optimization. Does anyone have any experience with this? About how much could I be looking at spending? upfront and recurring. Thinking about using odesk for most of the build. Could I possibly leverage my product to get some pro bono help?
Never use freelancer if you are not good in all those thing, the maintenance is very important in future, you should go to the company who can give you "all in one" service
I have used Odesk.com for many projects in the past 2 years(especially cold calling)...It's nice because you can form a team to work on different aspects of your project so you don't have just 1 person doing all the work...This creates a higher quality product in the end...but be careful and have patience because sometimes their is a little bit of a language barrier and miscommunication can happen. I have found odesk workers to be very polite though and very willing to do hard work.
Odesk is good, but it can take a lot of trail and error to weed out the junk on there. If you find a decent freelancer, KEEP HIM/HER. They slip away very easily and can be difficult to find in the sea of people offering the same service. Outsource your weaknesses but focus on your strengths. Theres no point spending months learning a certain technique if you can outsource it. When your time could be spent on more productive tasks. This said, you obviously need the capital to afford it and must be able to justify a reasonable ROI.
I can help with any writing work you need done.... sales letters, squeeze pages, email autoresponders, website content, blog posts, etc.... no need to fool with ODesk!
It's hard to get a VA than can handle everything. The problem if you are outsourcing the programming part like site creation is that, the maintenance in the future would be painful. I can offer site (wordpress membership sites creation) content Nothing more
All these can be done by a V/A specialising in online marketing. I have had huge success hiring Filipino VA's from onlinejobs.ph and staff.com. I get them at $2 to $4 per hour and they were doing pretty amasing jobs, quality and quantity wise. One of my VA's know better than I do.. But of course you have to teach them how to do it yourself and their knowledge from their past employers can definitely help you grow your business.
The price varies. To start, I would not go with what mary jane said, no one, no company especially works reliably for that price, and it's her first post. I would recommend getting an "all in one" company as was already said and I would look at spending around $300-500 upfront, plus any marketing/advertising costs which you will want to do. Best of luck!
