What Is The Best Keyword Density for SEO?

I want to know "What Is The Best Keyword Density for SEO?" after Google Penguin update and what was before..?

According to me 2 to 4 % is the best keyword density

 

What about Keyword phrase... not keyword...?

 

The best keyword density as recommended by Google is 2-3% and it is still same after Google Penguin Update..Post Penguin, the difference is that Google has uprated the keyword density factor in their algorithm as compared to earlier.

So the websites, have a higher keyword density will be highly effected by this....

I know of a website that had keyword stuffing and it was appearing in top 10 on Google.com for keyword 'best seo company' but post Penguin that website is completely gone out of top 500 results....Just shows that we should avoid any sort of Black hat or even Grey hat techniques...

 

Thanks "SEO Naive" If our competitor keywords density on targeted keyword is between 4% to 5% and it still on top what can I do....?

 

Keyword density is not the only factor that would be helping that particular site to rank on top....Remember onpage hardly accounts for 30% of the seo work [Post Penguin].
So thinking that your competitor has high keyword density and is wrongly there on the higher rankings is wrong...

Might be the backlinks they are having are quite good....I can say this because I also have a high keyword density [4%] but my ranking in Google is on top 10 because the backlinks I have are quite good.

 

As per my experience it should be 3 to 4 %

 

I think 2.5% is the best keyword density but always try to write unique content don't try to put keyword in content.

 

According to my practice 2% is fine but after penguin update now we should use keyword naturally and user friendly. Forget about the SEO friendly just do write the content User friendly and not do keyword stuffing.

 

So it mean that the keyword density is never get changed after the penguin update it's still there.
As it was before updating of penguin about 4% and now it's also the 3-4%. there was only one thing about the Keywords that's up-rating keywords density factor.

Google is going to scan the content on your website and based on what the most used keyword or phrase is, that is how Google is going to categorize your website and then rank it and it should be no more than 2%

 

To the best of my knowledge, the ideal keyword density is 3-4%.

 

But..! in experts view the best ratio is below 2%

 

IMO keyword density should be 2-3% is best and do not keyword stuffing in the content.

Do not concentrate in keyword density as this is very old technique. Low very doesn't mean negative impact but high very will be trapped and penalized

3% to 5 % density is good and if it is more than it would not be beneficial.

Keyword density can be vary based on number of words it made of. i.e if keyword is “customer service”, you can repeat it for more than 2%-3% to convey your message but if keyword is “customer service outsourcing provider in India”, then it should be inserted for once as frequent repetition of such long keywords can easily caught by Google.


I keep keywords density between 2% to 4% however I believe in contextual relevancy.
