But what can I do? I have no idea where to start. I started up a very different business just this week. It's not your usual internet marketing stuff. The woman from whom I learnt this ran this business model both on a part time and full time basis and earned a great income. Even someone else started up the same business model this week and has already earned money. Me? I worked 20 hrs and earned $0 I didn't even get any response back for my marketing efforts and it is all pretty straight forward. It's the first time i've actually put consistent effort in to ANYTHING so feeling a tad deflated. In the mean time, money is super low and I want to earn at least $20 TODAY. Any ideas???
How long have you been doing this? You should not get discouraged. What method/way are you trying if you don't mind sharing with us? I have recently started investing in a few domains that I will develop for Adsense and Amazon affiliate program. Also starting on some direct affiliate marketing via ad networks.
I started this week and worked over 5 days. It involves sending emails. I know that may not sound very effective but this business (can't say much about it as she is selling this info) is 'low resistence'. In other words the people to whom I send the emails are less likely to say 'you're selling something, no thanks!' For me, no-one has responded. The way I see it, if someone else can have success in her first week, why not me? Even if I got some interest with zero sales, it would have made a difference.
Go to postloop (dot) com and earn money by posting on forums and commenting on blogs. It has a different but sustainable model whereby sometimes you get to earn more than normal rates. Wherever things are not systematic but run on an auction type of model, you will see sometimes good opportunities. You got to invest something or the other, money or skills or time.
I would say is not loose hope. Since we do not know the details there is little people can help. I If you are using the method taught exactly and other people are earning money you are not. There can be several reasons like: 1. You are targeting the wrong market 2. Just being plain unlucky (since it has been only 5 days) 3. If you are using affiliates, are your affiliate links set up right? I am just guessing here. But what I believe (from one of the motivational book by 'Og Madino') - 'persist until you succeed'. I would suggest you to try using the same method for 5 more days and if still it doesn't work then probably change the method or ask something different.
It really amazes me to see people struggle to make money on the internet since every single site I has ever created has always made money. I just do not have the time or spirit to keep creating them anymore. Plus I have a full time job where I work 14 hours per day and my successful sites make money automatically so I know longer need to focus on new sites but to try and enjoy life now.
You have not said about your business to get some idea...If your customers are local customers then follow local marketing system.
Try data entry stuff if you want that kind of money in 20 hours. Might get stressful in the long run, though.
Sell stuff on fiverr... If you are decent in designing, offering certain services, you can easily make the $20-$40/day. If you want to get serious, you will need to invest. Try to find some free eBooks about certain hot topics to get experience and knowledge. Don't just try 10 things without knowing what you are doing, you will fail.
You dont have to be 'Albert Einstein' to work out what you are currently doing is a total waste of time and dont expect it to change either,as you dont mention anything about your self ie what you can do or not do as the case may be its very hard to advice or guide you,just because your friends earn peanuts tells me its a total waste of time although you dont have money to start a website prehaps look to start a free blog with blogger the fact that you have access to the internet tells me you are not totally short of money unless its a family internet connection. But to continue the same thing after 20 hours thinking it will change is crazy.
Jhardy is right! Sell your stuff on ebay for quick money. Or yea, you could go to fiverr.com and start 5-6 projects like teaching kids math, or playing piano or something
