My Domains Expired..(in Redemption period)-how to RePurchase them before competitors?

Discussion in 'Domain Names' started by entry, Jun 11, 2012.

Some domains of mine have expired, and will be reavailable to be 'back'catched, using services such as pool, namejet etc.

Does that mea that as they are MY domains, to be released....that only I will know that they are re-available, before anybody else? (As they are mine, i have them on a list)

or that means....that Anybody/the whole public can back catch them,.... and it will be a bidding war (if anybody else wants the domains)

and as I KNOW the domains are available, to be back catched,.....does that mean ONLY I KNow? as they are mine? Or the public will know too, and if so, When will they know that they are available?

(as in, I have the insider knowledge, as they are mine...but when wil the public actually know? -and other domain purchasers?)

    cheers

If the domains are set to pending delete status then everyone can see it and it will be a bidding war if others want it. If you can drop catch it at pool or namejet then you can bet the names will show up in the daily lists released of dropping domains. At this point I would contact your registrar and see if there is anyway to get it back. If not, when the time comes everyone who scans the deleting domains list on that day will see it. If you're going to try and drop catch the name I would recommend using Pool or NameJet before a company like GoDaddy

entry, if your domain name is worth you spending a high redemption fee to restore, then contact your registrar before it enters into pending delete period.

you may be better off paying high redemption fee, since these pool/snapnames are not cheap either and if there is someone else that ordered it, it will go for an auction with unknown cost outcome.
That is said if they are really good names. Otherwise if they not worth it, you may try just to re-register them manually, or try godaddy backorder for $15 or so

Like godaddy usually share out all expired domain to public and lot of people are hunting it , so it better that you renew it in time so you would not lost your domain name
Every domain registrar do have domain cycle before domain release to public . It usually take 4 to 5 months to get the domain open to public.
It usually take 1 month for domain De-activated and awaiting owner to renew it . If client no renew will go to Domain Redemption Period. This is the last chance for owner to get the domain back but with higher price. If he do not like to continue with the domain then it take another 1 week to pending delete. So the whole cycle usually take 3 months but 4 months is mostly done by most registrar.

Who is your registrar? Most have a period where you can renew after the expiration date/
