Google adsense - text or image ads?

I own a few sites where adsense text ads are placed.

Never tried image or text / image ads.

What would you guys recommend me?

It depends on your site and ad placement. Within content I find text ads work best. Outside of content I find image ads convert best.

 

You gotta try them out to find the best, suggest use text only for 2 week, images for another two week, and then use text and image for another 2 weeks, find the best among them

 

You can try both and see the result of the effectiveness between the two.

simply put text and image, have several ad units, and after a while study the stats in adsense account for ad types, so you can see if there's a clear advantage for text ads or image ads. In this case you can set it to text only or images only if the performance advantage is obvious.

 

If you have lot of unique content and images for your site. so you can select text ads are best. because text ads are very useful for adsense earning.

Agree!!! Test both until you have truely determined which ones work best in which positions on your site!!! Location and Image or Text............you need to test, check and try something different then compare your ultimate results. Good luck

 

Th only way to tell is by trying differant variations including coloures and various sizes as even small thing like a colour change can increase revenue.

 

Usually text ads have higher CPC though the CTR is low. But you should test various ad types your own to get higher overall earning.

 

you can add the both text and image ads, several image ads sometimes have high cpc, especially car and home niche

 

well, I think, that you should check it by yourself, how changes ctr on the way you change banners.

text ads if you don't want them to stand out. Visitors would only click (and leave your site) if they could not find anything else to click on. Image ads (those will be animated and highly visible) - if you WANT them to leave your site (to generate adsense profit).

 

image ads pay higher considering the fact that it takes up the whole ad space. But I prefer Text ads because most of the time image ads shows ads that are irrelevant to my topic. One thing I am sure of is that Link Ads pay the lowest.
