Hello all! I'm thinking of changing my site from a 'normal' website to a wordpress website. I've been leaving the site stagnant for a very long time but it continues to bring me money from amazon sales, adsense and clickbank. Should I stick to the 'normal' website format? Is seo for wordpres very difficult? Any experienced wordpress users around here? --- Dylan
Well a wordpress site is very easy to maintain and very SEO friendly.... look at the acne site in my signature. Completely based on wordpress. I have been trying to make content sites in wordpress from many days now. And i find no problems. Just a little bit care needs to be taken while choosing the titles as sometimes it creates duplicate content problem if you are making a site.
Maybe add a Wordpress blog to compliment your exisiting site? Like blog.yoursite.com then you can interlink the two with relevant Anchor text to boost rankings on both
Like the other people say. Do not touch the actual site if it is working for u. But for seo wordpress it is higlt recommend.
Thats exactly what I was thinking too. Use the new blog to chat about site related topics and link back to specific pages on your established site. Very little needs to be done with Word Press regarding SEO, a few plugins here and there and using the right keywords in the post titles.
Wordpress itself has a good article about this.. I cant post links yet but try wordpress seo at google and get the first result within wordpress domain
Why don't you add your blog under subfolder or subdomain? You shouldn'y change anything if it's bring you income already. I agreed that wordpress is the most comprehensive blog script with search engine friendly but you have to use it in the right way.
