I have been reading about Latent Semantic Indexing and the only software that helps with this seems to be theme zoom or something like that. It is really expensive,. Is there something else cheaper that helps? There is a feature in wordtracker in keyword universe called related keywords where you type in a keyword and a list of keywords comes up. I have read this feature in wordtracker gives you keywords for Latent Semantic Indexing you can use in your text. Is that right?. It is my understanding that just coming up with synonyms is not good enough. This takes finding synonyms used by people using search engines that are within the theme of a keyword. For example under the keyword pizza a Latent Semantic Indexing keyword might be pepperoni Does the keyword universe feature I described do this or is there a cheaper software then theme zoom that doe the same thing?.

When it comes to seo for Latent Semantic Indexing from what I have read it appears that a webmaster is to find the best keywords and then find what might be called secondary keywords which are within the theme of the page and root keyword like cat might have cat food to increase the se's understanding the theme of the site and include them on a page were that keyword is included but not as frequently as you might put normal keywords. Is that right or is there a better way?
This tool helps you find related terms that are commonly found on other pages with your main search term http://www.quintura.com/ Enter a keyword or phrase. It gives search results from Yahoo, and creates a word cloud of other terms that appear often on pages with that term. Click a word in the cloud and it will generate a new cloud based on that word. Another part of LSI would be to include word variations on your pages, like plurals, ....ing, ....ism, ...ist, ect.
Yes it is quite basic, but i think it would be important to include some of those other terms on your pages. Usually these other terms are obvious with a little thought, but this tool can help you spot some you may not have thought of.
