Hello Guyz, I was into social media optimization and just switched to search engine optimization. I used to think that search engine optimization was all about on page and off page. But, believe me, I find this very tough task to get your site rank on top search engine. I have done all possible things like keyword research, meta tags placement, directory submission, bookmarking. But, still waiting for my site to get ranked. Please guide me on this. What else I can do?
Well, you didn't really do "SEO". Directory submission - no real benefit. The same with social bookmarking. They don't really give a valuable vote. You mention meta tags - a good meta description can be useful, but keywords are useless (just used by spammers). When it comes to on-page, the most important thing for visitors and search engines is good content. Don't write for search engines, but for visitors. It's the same when you get a backlink: you want it to be within good content and a page (and site as a whole) that is orientated towards visitors and not search engines. Hi Ajay Singh, I think you are frustrated with SEO, well planned and well executed SEO plan will definitely work well for your promotion. I am also in this field since 2008 and up-till now i am very glad to know SEO very deeply and enjoying my work. In my opinion SEO is all about planning and analysis to achieve a particular goal. Keyword analysis and onpage optimization are the initial steps and offpage is non stop process with quality sites work.
