Hi all, my question is that if a site is getting most of the traffic from referring sites and getting few visits from search engine, can this be dangerous for adsense account? for example if a site is getting total 2000 visitors in a day and from those 1800 (80%) are coming from referring sites like few forums, and 200 (20%) coming from search engine, so can it make any kind of problem for the adsense account, waiting for replies . thnx
Is the traffic real? Do you buy this traffic? The only danger is if you have some sort of click fraud going on. As long as your source of traffic is within the TOS, you are good. It really doesn't matter where your visitors come from. Just don't try to play the system and you will be fine.
not paid traffic or ptc traffic, i'm talking about completely real traffic from some forums which have good pr. but getting 80% of your traffic from 2 or 3 forums won't warn google to think that this is a spam site and a reason to ban the adsense account?
Adsense doesn't care where the traffic comes from as long as its not through bots or other manipulative methods. If the traffic is real you have nothing to worry about. Have you read the adsense TOS?
As long as the traffic is real than there is no problem with it, just remember do not promote in traffic exchange or other paid method.. if all the traffic is real and natural than it is fine and ok
If you have created those links yourself or paid for them, then it is maybe not safe. Better have 80% from search engine and 20% referrals.
This is what i was thinking, well i've seen few people who used to get slow adsense earnings, then they tried getting big traffic from referral sites and they got their adsense banned,
It's not dangerous, as long as Google Adsense realizes that not all of your referrals are coming from 1 source (which means, you're not buying traffic).
