Can users get a virus from adsense on my site?

Years ago, a group of myself and friends used a forum that had advertising, and all at the same time alot of the members had their pc's infected / shutdown while those with proper anti-virus were fine.

Just now, on my own site which is nearly ready for deployment, kaspersky kicked up a red flag:

    Kaspersky

    Internet Security 2012

    Access denied
The requested URL cannot be provided

The requested object at the URL:
    [removed not important]

    Threat detected:

    object infected HEUR:Trojan.Script.Generic

    Message generated: 10:20:26 PM

So if i use adsense, will i be potientially infecting my users? Or should i only be concerned with total revenue? Should i report this issue to google? (never done it so be interested to know what steps to take) Should i just not use adsense at all and use a different system?

Don't worry about it, use adsense if your site has traffic, that's it.

I think you should immediately take some action in cleaning the virus. Probably, your hosting guys might help. If you don't take care of this, your site will have a red flag in search results which is not a good sign.

Secondly, No, with adsense you won't infect your visitors with virus and neither your earnings will be impacted.

my site has no virus, its not even deployed yet, simply when testing it on my local computer kaspersky blocks the ads from showing as they have trojans. Its not all the ads, but say 1 in 5 page refreshes has a virus advertisement.

Kaspersky has a history of false positives when it comes to Adsense. That said, a week or so ago a user of mine was also experiencing Kaspersky warnings for some ads on my site. It is possible, though unlikely, that your users could get infected through an ad running on your site. The ad would most likely have to be a flash ad, which would allow the advertiser to potentially run scripts or whatnot on the user's PC when the ad is loaded on your site. These are called "malvertisements".

I would recommend seeing if you can get the ad's URL and block it using the competing sites feature of adsense.

If it is only your own local computer that has a problem then your website with adsense on it should be fine.

Adsense screens for viruses before showing you the ad so no, you can't get viruses.

@xtremers, the ad was blocked by kaspersky, so whatever it was got past googles screening process.

as long as my users are safe then im happy.

there are no other scripts, its 100% html and css designed in dreamweaver, and if you looked at the screenshot, you would understand that kaspersky blocked the ad and nothing else.

If the ads can get past big G's filter, then you have no problem, my friend. A false positive.
