Business Paypal account needed

    Just spent half hour trying to find the option in my Paypal account so that I can give the API access. It may be worth mentioning on your setup page that you can't use a personal account. :(

    If you are looking for the API Access it can be used on all accounts.

    Go to Profile > My Selling Preferences > API Access then click Update.

    PayPal's API works fine with a personal account, as long as it's a personal premier account. A non-premier account can't pay receive payments that originate from a credit card, so you would be severely limited on receiving payments anyway.

    Hi

    I went to:

    Profile > My Selling Preferences

    But there is no option for API access.

    These are the options I get:

    When I go to upgrade my account it doesn't give me the option of "personal premier", only the option to go to a business account.

    Not sure why you wouldn't have the option for personal premier... you may need to give PayPal a call for that.
