I know this is an old topic, but please one more time. I have PR5 on my www.edithomevideo.com but it isn't successful. I know why, I know what I need to fix but is one of the fixes to pay for directory listings? I don't think so. I have felt like Page Rank comes with maturity of the site and the work you put into it ( my www.cyberhighschools is PR2 and climbing). I did pay for a few directories in the beginning but if they aren't bringing me any traffic was it money wasted?
Can i get bac links for my blog? I have good content on SEO and internet marketing. trafficunlimited.blogspot.com
How to increase PageRank?? Get in your closet and start spinning in circles beating yourself on the head with a feather duster… Seriously folks, get off of the PR Express… a high PR does not in any way guarantee rankings/traffic and PR (TBPR is what most are REALLY talking about) is not a focus of a serious SEO campaign… fact of life people… has been since 2004 or so... Chasing a high TBPR doesn not = a SEO campaign….
Get lot's of backlinks, you may find on this post much more: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=181192 +++ Take care to not link to pages with PageRank0 , or banned pages, or pages not related to your topic, try to not use invisibles text (hidden layers, or text the same color as backgrouind color, etc)
I'm not a fan of article submissions, dupe content links don't reallt count for much ^^. Try making some free blogs at blogger and similar, make a swicki/search engine, post in communities like Zimbio or Pligg sites, social tagging can work. Add links on your myspace accounts, or get a bot to spam some bulletins and make friends at MySpace.
The best way to create long lasting positioning and to gain high google page ranks is to create great content on your site - related to your chosen keyword or key phrase. It's no good just creating good content, you must optimise it for your keyword. Then start building links from other pages with high google page rank - blogs and forums are a great place to start. Hope that helps. Keith L Jones
Links, Links, and Links. Good quality , inbound backlinks with off-page optimization will help in improving PR.
LoL - I just noticed the date of original post ... shouldn't have been revived. Oh well - Team why did you try and re-open this thread ? for your own purposes of advertising I am guessing.
O rly? (Just kidding you are right). That being said, page rank is still related to SEO and page rank is still valuable. You can easily sell 10 links on a PR5 blog for $5-10+ per link, that's $50-100+ per month * 10 monthly revenue for selling valuation and you get a cool $500-$1000. PR still has value, no matter how little search traffic you get. Link buying aint dead yet google. (That being said, I love you cuttsy and I don't sell links, that is bad.)
