You can't suggest a website to directory root level. If you try, the last line of the page that comes up says Proceed to the Open Directory home at dmoz.org - Start here to find a category to submit to and returns you to the home page so that you can first choose an appropriate category :).

And you would not want to suggest to an inappropriate or unrelated category, as that would certainly get your suggested rejected or removed.

Don't worry, your competition has ZERO competitive edge over you because they are listed in DMOZ. A link on an actual relevant page with actual visitors is much, much more important.

I remember that in 2005 it was quite easy to add to DMOZ - it doesn't take so long to be listed and that is why one of my websites is listed. But since then I have no more luck with adding websites and none of them get listed. But still it is worth to try. It doesn't take so long to fill the form. The rest is not in our hands so you just need to go further with other things.

I suggest to you first read rules and regulation, then choose correct category, and Re-check your contents.

If you dont give a shit, why whinge?

3 referrals by dmoz editors or bots, means nothing and implies nothing. They may have moved your suggestion, it may have been the bots visiting or simply an editor surfing the net and it showed his referral........it does not mean you are rejected.

Resubmit if you like.....it simply overwrites the date stamp and may also get you flagged as a spammer meanng a sure rejection.....it can only be detrimental to your suggestion but hey, you dont give a shit anyway. :)

I have a site that's not been listed and it was submitted 5 years ago. But it does not really matter...my site is doing find without the ODP and yours will too.
