Review my personal freelancing website.

I started freelancing and it was really hard to get projects, so I worked @ fiverr, at first I got orders but lately it was reduced. So I created this site to promote my freelancing. What about my english, I don't know marketing stuff, so if I am wrong somewhere please tell me.

    http://www.isuru.in

    Thanks!

It's simple... but doesn't create trust... you need more content. Aside the home page, you have nothing. Resume loads like crap... either link to it either write it in HTML so it renders quickly.

A couple suggestions, get rid of the "Hire Me!" heading, it is not attractive and makes you look desperate,
which can result in people expecting from you (if they hire you) a very low price.

I know that you have listed in your resume "references upon request" and that takes care of those who want to see examples of your work.
But believe me if you list 2-3 samples of your best work, people will definately see you with a different eye, and will want to see more by contacting you,
which is what your main goal is.

Well, at the bottom you have three blocks giving the definition of Java, Python and PHP, I don't see the point..
It would be better if you had 3 texts about you and those languages, like what's your experience and level for each language.
    This is strange..

Yes, nice and clean, but it doesn't show people you are professional coder, need something catchy and need to showcase all your past work in good graphic layout.

Good point... i wanted to say this but sadly i forgot!

i didn't even read those... You should do an About me (instead of resume) and have 3 pages of past projects detailed in those languages. If someone is looking to hire you they will probably know what those do...

Also it clearly shows that you don't know the basic scripting languages of the web, because you're using the default image of the template and you are using a template in the first place, clearly visible in the footer. You should clean everything up until the site looks more professional.

After, yes, the about you pages should give believable and relevant reasons to choose you over the thousands other coders on those freelance sites.

Just hurriedly grabbing a template for use without thorough editing is so unprofessional. Yes you might be able to satisfy a few young students and noobs with your services, but the corporate world would demand more from you before even testing or trying you out.
And also focus on describing your past projects, and try to embed some of your work on your site...

Hi, I clicked the link to your site but it doesn't load. And it's a great move for a freelance writer to create his or her own portfolio. You can also find me at Fiverr. :)

Clean, but too empty. CV needs to be rewritten to look better, and front page conveys the wrong message, as it looks like a work in progress.

It's a bit slow... as well as you need to add more content to website. If you have portfolio, you can add that too.

Nice website, but maybe you need to do some rearrangement on your menu to make your website look more interesting and also maybe you can change the font to the standard size.

Your meta description is not long enough.
Meta descriptions are useful because they often dictate how your pages are shown in search results.
For optimum effectiveness, meta descriptions should be 70-160 characters long.
Your meta descriptions should be concise and contain your best keywords.
Make sure each page of your website has its own meta description.

Nice site. Good design and layout, easy navigation. Good choice for a domain name "isuru.in".
Personally I like your home page. Hope you will get good traffic.

Browse through graphicriver for some resume templates. You can also add a video profile listing your skills. Please get rid of the Hire caption.

I agree with the previous post. It does not create trust. You need to write more content. I think more content about you, the works you made before, news about your topic, etc. Also related to google profile. And this 'Hire me', I don't think it sounds good.. You better think what you have to offer to companies and not what a company 'have to do now'. This is more interesting to read at the first view. Design is very good and clear to read.

You need to do good seo in it to rank this site much higher than others. Its good if you promote your hire page only.....
