http://www.webworkshop.net/pagerank.html I found this to be a real great read on page ranking. What do you think? Roger

Sorry cianuro but it's early here in Canada! I just found that article really interesting. Opened up my eyes and I'm going to try focusing on some different things for page rank. likely, I also book marked it. I'll have to refer to it quite a bit. Roger
The section about Outbound Links is completely false and wrong - PageRank Leak is a myth, and doesn't exist. This casts doubt on the credibility of the whole article. SEO Myth Busting - Does Rank Leak Exist And Are We Suffering From PageRank Paranoia? Cryo.
It exists it is simply that it is of little or no consequence. It is a natural result of the PageRank calculation and only debated by those who are not very good at maths. This is a good example of an article by someone who does not know what they are talking about. They say "The premise is that if you load a page with too many outgoing links you will lower the PageRank of that page". That is not the premise at all because PageRank for a given page is solely determined by the inbound links and is nothing to do with 'leakage'. What actually happens is that when you place an external link on a page the average PR distributed by each link on that page is reduced. Because some of those links will be to internal pages there will be less PR circulating on the site. End of story. It's no big deal and any attempts to control PR leakage are a waste of time in my opinion. There are far more important variables to think about. - Michael
