Every site I see on Flippa follows the same format. $1400 in 9 days, site is 1 month old, no organic traffic or seo done, and to find out how they generate traffic you have to buy the site, THEN they tell you the "secret." Are there ways to fake the revenue reports? How is this stuff verified? Do you ever REALLY know for sure that what you are buying is going to generate anything for you after the money changes hands? And why if these sites are making so much money on auto-pilot are the owners trying to sell? The standard answer is, "I have too much going on with other businesses and sites that i'm working with." I see so many sites that are supposedly generating 2-3k a month, yet the BIN is $2500. Things are just not adding up. Has anyone actually had any positive experience with buying a site that is actually generating passive monthly income? Would love to hear some stories. Thanks
Even I am eager to know the answers. How can they generate traffic and revenue with out performing SEO ? How can they attract visitors with a new site ? As an SEO expert I question that what is the use of SEO where people ask for Optimization. I think that they generate revenues for themselves and buy traffic till the site is sold. Looking for some answers. Thanks
Im very active on Flippa and I can tell you that most of the time the seller actually has a prior agreement to the buyer that he will provide the traffic to the site. So basically your paying for a site that the seller just sends random traffic to. Where does the traffic come from? Who knows. It's not organic.
Most of the sites I see on there are new sites,, they all make big claims for revenue. Most I would not touch with a barge pole,, some others I would have to be given access to GA. No GA, No Buy, as Bob Marley might say..
Yes, the site's traffic is not organic. Can I ask you a question ? Assume if you are a Buyer, Will the Site generates the same revenue after purchasing ? With in few days there is no chance of getting loads of traffic. Can we file a complaint? if the revenue is dropped after purchasing ? Thanks
It will usually for a set period of time. The Seller usually says that they will provide the same traffic for the first month and then you will have to buy the traffic each month after that from them.
Next time i buy a site( expensive one) i will ask to log with teamviewer to check the real stats live............... got to many bad experiences Second i keep away site making revenue with adsense........ to much uncertain they can block the site anytimes or even terminate your account
there is no other way that buy through escrow with a large inspection period, then you cancel if the traffic or revenue is not the same the seller claimed. most of the sales are fake sites trying to rip u off, so unless you can personally verify all the data most probably you will be scammed. at least, thats my opinion
I've bought one of these sites before, and I'd never do it again. I put it down to experience. Basically the method of driving traffic (for the one I bought anyway) is via Google Adwords. You have to find a supplier for virtual credit cards, buy some $100 Adwords vouchers for a few dollars and then create ads on the Google Ad network. This then drives relevant traffic to the site. I tried this but never actually got my ad approved so I'm not sure if the method works, but its certainly unethical as its against Google's TOS.
there are many ways to get sales and traffic. i guess many of the flippa sellers do email marketing or stuff like that with there new pages and generate some sale. maybe they even buy themself the products and buy traffic to the new page .. no problem costs some $ but all is available. this websites have a value of more or less 0$ because they are not ranked and you will nor make income with them.
