Limitation question

Hey, I have a simple question for you.

In mid-january of this year, I got limited with no good reasons given and was not given any options to unlimit my account. I then realised they call it a permanent limitation.

My question is, it's soon going to be 6 months (180 days), and I was wondering if I will still get the ~400$ I have in my balance? I'm worried because it's permanent and not temporary

    Many thanks!

Did your account get limited or temporarily closed? If your account is limited then depending on your country it simply means you're not verified and you can go through a 3 step process to prove citizenship. You'll need your ID, proof of address and proof of SSN.

If it's temporarily closed then yes you should be able to withdraw after the holding period. A permanent holding period would warrant you to call paypal immediately...

    Thanks for the reply.

Like I said, on the homepage it's telling me to go follow the steps at the Resolution Center, but when I get there, there's no steps. I have already been limited and it was not the same. Now I just can't do anything.

On the homepage, announcing the limitation:
    In the resolution center:
    But there is NO steps.

You should have gotten an e-mail to your paypal e-mail regarding this as well. Try the link there and it may come up again. I've had my Paypal limited several times too. Also on the main Paypal account page where you see your over-all progress there should be a direct link to breaking the limit on your account.

When there are no steps to do in Resolution center. The best thing is to call them and ask what they need from you.
And that way it will be solved instantly.

if you got a permanent limitation, then you got nothing to do with it. But the money in it still belong to you, because paypal is have no right to take it from you

I still think in terms of payment processing, the best is still Paypal.

I just called and they cannot remove my limitation saying another account is sharing similar details (I have no other account that I'm aware of..)

Then the lady said the funds (~400$..) will be released July 12th. Atleast I'm thankful for that.

    Thanks for the replies everyone!

Glad to hear they are releasing the funds. You may want to set up a second account since that one is having some serious issues.

Exactly, that is what I was gonna say. Of course they have no right to take that money away from you. They may suspend your account but that is still your money. Just call them until it gets resolved. Have a nice day

Thanks alot. I'm not sure I want to make a new account since this one is suspended/limited because something similar might happen. If I receive a couple payments and then they deceide to limit it again, I don't wanna wait another 6 months for the funds to be released

Contact the Paypal Support and tell them about your problem and they will instruct you how to be verified and be able to take your money out.

That's not a bad idea. I might do this. Thanks again!

I'm already verified and the lady said she cannot do anything to help me other than letting me know the date my funds will be released. Before looking into it, I asked her if my funds would be released, and she immediately said "Let me check if we can remove this limitation" but came a minute later saying I couldnt get unlimited and my funds will be released in July.
