21 adsense clicks on StatCounter but only 3 on adsense?

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by Mr.81, Feb 4, 2012.

Hi, just a bit confused and wondered if anyone could help.

I have StatCounter set up on my new site and I noticed I got 21 clicks on my Google ads yet in the performance tab on adsense I only have 3 clicks. Why is this? People are clicking the ads and they're not showing up?

Secondly, is adsense the best advertising option for a website or are there others out there too that you recommend?

    Thanks in advance!

It can be due to adsense treat them as invalid clicks

So they take 23 clicks and give me just 3! Guess that's why they're worth so much...

Why do you trust StatCounter? Do they pay you any money? The only clicks that count are the ones Google pays you for. End of story. The rest is a waste of time.

As for your second question, you could search in the forum archives, but the answer is yes, still the best in CPC.

Why wouldn't I trust stat counter? They just give me info on who's on the site and what they're clicking on.

Thanks for the reply and advice!

Yes, their job is to track visits and clicks, but their count is worth nothing regarding adsense. What counts is what adsense tracks as valid clicks. And even then, it's just for our information, because what matters is simply how much they pay us at the end of the next month.

Hmm okay, although I wonder if they charged the advertiser for those clicks that I haven't earned anything for :p.

You can find that the StatCounter clicks is always more than the adsense clicks. If you want similar date, use google analytics

If any user click no of times from a single ip than these clicks are counted but google do not pay money of those clicks.

    thanks

Those are invalid clicks. Adsense is best, at present no better alternatives for adsense..

I prefer to use Google Analytics to track Adsense clicks.

I'm back...my site had over 2000 hits yesterday, yet I had only 4 AdSense clicks.

I head to StatCounter: they say I had 119 clicks!!!! Not much difference.

Does anyone know of another good PPC advertising network I could move to? I would like to just test it more than anything.

    Thank you!

Yeah, I may have to search around to experiment and see if I get more clicks...

Thanks. Adbrite was a popular search result in blogs etc. I'll give it a go. Not sure if their ads are worldwide though.
