I second this idea. You need to develop unique copy for any niche you use. As such you need to enjoy working within your niche so you stay motivated to update and tweak and make it good.
The biggest problem I had when starting out was picking a niche. You can kill tons of your time searching online without taking action. If you have problems picking a niche then pay someone for keyword research. It will help and you can focus on building out your sites this way.
You can enter a popular niche like weight loss but I would recommend that you try and "niche" it down even further. For example you may want to focus on a particular demographic say male, baby boomers or particular type of weight loss DASH Diet or Paleo Diet I like to use Amazon has my first stop when researching a possible niche to enter. To take the weight loss niche for example you could see what kinds of books are popular in this niche. Use the Amazon/bestsellers.com page and take a look at the Health, Fitness and Diet sub category. When I look there I see that the DASH diet book is in the top 10. I would then search in the Amazon search bar to see how many other books are written on the same topic in this case 823. If there are a lot of books its generally a popular subject and has a market of buying customers. I would then do a google keyword search using the external google keyword tool to see how many people are searching for it every month. While I do this I have a look at CPC to see whether people are willing to pay to advertise in the niche. I would also do a search in Clickbank marketplace to see if anyone else is producing an information product and I would use market samurai to do competition analysis. Personally I would NOT enter a niche where there is no competition. No competition at this stage in the internet game generally means there is no money in it. You just need to find a niche with money in it, and do it better.
So what product you promote on the niche 'porn'? From where you get porn contents? That's a big question. I would not suggest anyone to promote porn contents just to make money, even Google don't accept porn websites for both AdSense and Adword program.
The best way to find a good niche, is find one that is getting at least 1-2k hits per month. Has a HIGH PPC competition, and low SEO competition. The HIGH PPC competition lets you know that the KW is profitable, low SEO competition means it will be easier to get ranked organically
for newbies i would pick a physical product with a keyword that has over 1500 exact traffic a month and rank for it. For example pressure washers, pond pumps, chainsaws etc.. something that isnt obvious like weight loss.

Try to go based on your interest and then do keyword research on what are the keywords profitable from your interests.
According to me the most profitable niche is one which targets extremely desperate buyers. Competition won't matter as long as you target a niche where buyers are dying to figure out a solution to their problem.
Couldn't agree with you more! That's why payday loans are such a profitable niche (see my sig). Lots of people are desperate for cash and payday loans fill that need... Several posters said not to go after the most profitable and popular niches because the competition is too high. They suggest that people target the topics they like or have personal intersts in. I couldn't disagree more! Many of the topics you like have very low earning potential. You might enjoy creating content and discussing the topic, but what's the point if the most you ever earn is $300-$400 per month? Guess it comes down to priorities -- are you doing this to earn money? Or fulfilling one of your passions? Sometimes it can be both, but most people aren't that lucky... Go after the BIG MONEY! Choose a topic with real money-making potential and you'll learn to love the topic. When you start earning BIG COMMISIONS it becomes appealing and fun. Over time, you'll become an expert and it will show... Just my 2 cents. I guess everyone has a different strategy... but this has always been my approach
I think sex niche is a good one as well. Because people are shy and they will find solution on the internet. You can become an expert and help them to solve their problem
Facebook is one of the most popular marketing social platforms nowadays, so we can find our potential and targeted customers through some speicific niches(keywords) on the platform. We can make good use of some effective marketing tools to find and gather your potential cuetomers and then market among those people.
