Is anyones else way down again? Lowest its been ever for me today... Probably 33% - 50% lower than earlier this week
I hate to break ranks but it was a record day for me. First day over $100! So as always it varies depending on niche...
If some of you noticed a large earnings drop on Nov 16, be advised Google did a indexing change again. A lot of folks will notice that some sites have dopped off the search results index again, who knows how long this one will last. That is probably why some saw a earnings drop on or around this date. This seems to be a common every 2 month or so thing now that Google does, some sites get hit while others remain the same or or indexed to an even better position.
Down a lot with me. Before I had one site that was making me as an average $15 a day. It's nowhere near that number from about 2months ago. I think they have put a lot of filters, and are not counting all the clicks we get. I wish one day YPN and Google are forced to give us all the stats, and the reason why "clicks" are not counted. For me not counting the clicks on my site is 'STEALING' from me. The same way advertisers consider stealing when a publisher clicks on his ads. I am sure for myself out of 100 impression I should get at least 5% CTR, many times it is 0.3% or 0.00 % and the ads are relevant for that site. With google for example my average CTR is above 10%.
it is a known fact that ypn does not count all clicks, both International and US, and they have increased their filtering system since the update on the 19th of september. i have done extensive testing on the subject and found this to be more fact than opinion. I agree, not counting valid clicks is stealing. however, you have to consider the source when defining the word "valid". its their beta program, they can define it anyway they want. we, as always, have the choice to not display their ads.
So if they are in Beta it is a license to do whatever they like, Including filtering valid US clicks? I don't think it is fair that somebody makes money off my site and pays me nothing in return. I have some "loans related" sites, and can tell you adsense pays way better on them than YPN. 5-6 clicks on YPN pays about $1-2. What I am doing now since the "filtering" started is I put affiliate links and YPN just in case somebody wants to see an ad from an advertiser. If YPN continues these practices of filtering "curiousity clicks, or whatever they call them" they'll lose more in the long run. IMO
