Forums Spamming Techniques

I would like to discuss the list of spamming methods that people use on various forums, directories etc.

I would like u guys to discuss it here so every one of us are aware of..

 

The only one I know of is from automated bots. But they can be easily avoided by the use of a captcha.

 

Maybe he wanted to know about spamming techniques that weren't automated?

Look for forums with SEF urls.

High PR memberlist.

Old/inactive topics with PR you can raise from the dead.

Anchor(s) in your signature, anchor(s) in your posts, normal link from your profile usually.

Voila.

 

How do you know if a certain forum has a high PR member list. Just check some member profile urls?

One spamming technique is to make a thread like this.

 

...and then count on sociable, friendly creatures to keep it going.

Usually load up forums/memberlist.php to see if it's available to the public/spiders.
