Why I don't traffic from search engine ?

    Hello,
I've a blog which talks about various alternatives which are available to users, see my signature for the link. I see that I get 50 unique visits everyday but none from search engine :(
My blog comes on 1st page of google for a keyword, and I guess that is searched by many. Still i don't see traffic via google/bing or any search engine. So, what do you think is the problem with my blog ? :(

Hi, It seems strange that you rank on the first page and yet you say you receive no traffic from search engines. How are you evaluating traffic origin - what tools methods are you using?

That's a strange thing happening with your website... How did you analyze your traffic? Try Google Keyword Tool and see if there is any search volume for the keyword for which website is ranking on first page.

May be user is not finding something interesting in your site meta description that is showing in search engines. Write a new meta description as per user friendly not as per seo point of view.

I use blogger draft to check my traffic

I do have around 500+ backlinks, so I guess that is not the problem :)

    google draft

My site comes on search engine when I search for it, but the problem is not many people come to my blog through search engine :(.
I do get traffic from various sites :). i want to know the reason for no traffic via search engine.

How do you check the traffic into your website? Have you got special application on your hosting server to do that?

So that application is on blogspot where you keep your blog? It is natural that the most hosting servers have such application for tracking traffic into your website. It is just administrating tool available on hosting server.

Are the keywords you are targeting actually being searched? Do some research with the Google keyword tool to ensure you are targeting keywords with reasonable monthly traffic numbers. Furthermore, what kind of SEO are you currently doing, if any- to increase your rankings?

All I can say is, that keyword must not get very many searches. Try building more backlinks slowly, and you will start ranking for different keywords. Good luck! :)

What is your position for your keyword (if it is on the first page and the keyword has more than 1 million searches per month, then you should receive at least 5000-6000 unique visits per month). Analyze your competitors and try to outrank them! :)

I think the keyword you are searching for getting the result of your site isn't a common keyword and how do you know that the keyword was used by everyone?
