If your site disappeared on April 24, it was affected by Panda. Check your on-page keyword density (should be under 2%), ensure that you only have high quality and unique content on your site and delete all spammy links pointing to your site. This last item might be quite an endeavour!

The panda update by google caused many sites to disappear. Maybe you over optimized your website.

I completely agree to what this guy has said. Clear up the bad links and lower the page densities.

I don't think the OP's site was affected, I think he was just trying to promote his link.

No doubt if your site got vanished in google, it was surely affected by panda or penguin update. Make sure of your website content because according to new updates by google, google is penalizing the irrelevant content and website got banned due to this and linking done by you should be relevant.

Re-write your content on the homepage, and get some new links, very high quality links, and re-submit the sitemap to Google

    hope this helps

You can check whether your site is in sandbox or not ? Just type in google search box like this... allinanchor:"Your Keyword" after that check your site till 100 pages or more than that. Once you done this then you won't get your site on google then may be your site is in sandbox.

When your site disappear from Google, maybe it is not in the Sandbox, your site can be a spam or "over" SEO, check your content, code, and back links, delete the low quality backlinks and then resubmit it.
