Adsense and my blog

Ok I am new to this forum, and new to adsense. However I am a good blogger and read that people are making money placing adsense on blogs.

I have a blog on wordpress, and blogger. However when I go to add the adsense code it says this code is not aloud. Can anyone give me any information to how you place adsense code in wordpress or blogger?? I know this is probably a stupid question, but I just thought this was the right place to ask.

    Thanks for your help.
    Chris

In wordpress, you have to place it in the one of the template php files, like Single.php or something, which is pretty easy. As for blogger, you're probably using Blogger Beta with the upgraded template thing, and I had trouble putting my adsense into my template. You have to add a new javascript page element and it should work.

Use the "adsense-deluxe" plugin. It works without a problem.

I couldn't get it to put a 728x90 leaderboard up. I ended up coding it in myself and blended it.

Advertising it not allowed to be put on free Wordpress.com hosted blogs in any form. You'd have to be running WP on your own server to be able to place ads on it.

You can run ads on Blogger's free blogs but I don't know the technicalities of it. You probably have to insert the code into the template somewhere.

True. :) Just look for the tab marked template when you log in to your account.
