after penguin update, blog commenting should totally be avoided. google rolled out webspam update and blog commenting in most cases nothing but pure spam

 

All of them are useful but do it carefully build some good links. Don't abuse doing that Blogs.

Really, they have always been spam (if the intent is for a link) and for a very long-time useless, it's nothing new.

I can't believe someone mentioned forum posting... or maybe they meant, don't forget that it is spam, too? (If it's for the intent of a link.) People try too hard at link building. Don't forget your on-page, too!
