    Fact: Pagerank has has nothing to do with search engine rankings

    Myth
    SEO is dead.
    Fact: SEO is not dead - however it is always evolving as google updates it's algorithms.

    Myth
    The Google Sandbox prevents sites from ranking in the search engines.
    Fact: This is not true.

    I understand SEO as marketing applied to the search engines. This sound obvious, it isn`t though. Many people think SEO is about getting thousands of backlinks, which has nothing to do with marketing. And this is just an example.

    The clue is: developing the right content (product) and setting your links where your target market is (publicity). Simple and powerfull.

    Well, yes that is how SEO has evolved through the times. Earlier, SEO was merely done to boost a site's ranking and it didn't require much efforts. But since Google is constantly changing its algorithms (which are created to let searchers find relevant information with ease rather than making it easy for search engine to produce results), SEO strategies have witnessed a change.
