Best way to handle Multiple Domains?

Please share your expertise on best ways to handle multiple domains. Many of us, at some point of time would have multiple domains, so how do we optimally use them and handle them without creating a mess.

 

Do you mean how to keep track of all your domains? - e.g. to not forget to renew your domains? If yes, I'm using an Excel document in which I have a table with all my domains information.

No. i meant making use of multiple domains in a profitable manner (from SEO perspective). For example i could interlink my multiple domain websites withe each other, provided the Host IPs are different.
