well jap cars are definately better, i had many american cars and ill admin all had had problems in 4 years...even though they were new
It all depends mate, which automotive company you are talking about. GM has good engineering. And what you are looking for out of a car I look for an agressive look, nice growling exhaust, good gas mileage, and a lot of horsepower. Here's my car, not one jap crap can touch this car's features. I'm not bragging, I'm just telling you my opinion and what jap cars can't offer me and my club's members.... www.sembmusclecarclub.com But, I'm not against all jap cars. I do like the Supra and the skyline, they do have nice cars. I just don't like most of them. here's my car's features in a nutshell gas mileage- 19 city and 28-30highway with a 346 cubic inch engine 5.7L car's price when I bought it $33,000 One of a kind look Nice deep sound exhaust Around 350hp to the rear wheels 13.07 in the 1/4 mile Good handling I haven't had any big problems with it and I beat on it Let me tell you some news some of you might not know The new camaro coming out with have a LS2 6.0L is going to be getting over 30+ mpg stock. With around 400hp And how about this, the Z06 offers 500hp for only 60k and beats the gas guzzlers tax, gets around 26 mpg on highway with a 427 c.i.d. I can go on and on
My buddy has a 1998 Formula with 150,000 miles on it hasn't had one problem and has the original clutch. Also, I've noticed that a lot of Americans do not take care of your cars. So yeah, something could go wrong if you don't change your oil, clean your engine bay, change your air filter every so often, clean your maf sensors, beat the hell out of your car.
Very impressive Icedout, but jap cars I think it's the most reliable cars at average in the world. Sure, that american's cars have their own goods.
