I think you should try the trials and decide for yourself.

I tried both demos , but I'm not able to take the decision as the both are good but I think vB has more better styles , so I'm asking here which one do you recommend for me ??

    Thanks

I recommend you the one you feel good with. Dont look at the styles a software has. Those are only designs and anything can be redesigned in any way you wish. Yet what vBulletin has, is a huge and quite helpful community. Besides, it is used by most of the largest forums and in my opinion, that pretty much saids something.
Anyway, are your money and you should decide alone on what to spend them as other people can be subjective. Take your time trying the forum demos and also check theadminzone.com community as all they talk about, are forums.

I suggest you keep trying the demo's until you feel comfortable with one. You may find editing templates (not styles) to be easier in one software than it is on the other. See which one has the (third party) addons & plugins that you want. And finally try to make a customized look on them both and go from there.

You've asked about vB and IPB - does this mean you've tried some of the free forum software or other commercial forum software and narrowed your choice down to these two?

I'm just curious why you're split between just these two?

I have used IPB years ago. Bloated, bad anti-spam management. Have ditched the license. Now the new version is too filled with useless stuff for my liking. I don't like VB too many anymore, but it's still better. So I'd buy that

I haven't worked much with IPB. I have had pleasant experiences with vBulletin though and was able to make a lot of customizations for it to suit the forum's needs.

I am using IPB and never had much problem with anti spam management. I pretty much use all it's features so I guess it depends from person to person. vB is horrible to say the least.

Lately, I am liking XF more.. but it lacks features, so I am waiting and there is no development update much on XF so no idea in what direction it's going.

IPB is cheaper to update as its only $25 every 6 months for support and software updates.

I'm personally using Xenforo, and I love it. However, if I had to chose between those two...I think VB might be the better decision, as with the customizations I see here, you can really do a lot with it ;)
