Broad Match: This is the most primitive form of keyword input. An example would be:

    online playstation games

But since it’s a broad match it would also trigger for the following phrases:

    playstation games online
    games online playstation
    playstation online games

The problem with this is that often when the words in a particular phrase a rearranged they can become untargeted & mean something completely different to what someone is actually searching for.

Exact Match: This is the most targeted type of match & the one I prefer to use most often. With this match you can target the exact keywords you want to trigger your ads. The more targeted you are the higher your conversions will be.

This is also can be discussed like:

Exact keyword: research there is higher competition and it is difficult to get ranked in the search engine.
Long tail/broad keyword research: it is wise to use because it is very easy to get ranked in the search engines and the competition is also very low.

Broad Match: The keywords using the term broad match can be shown in any order with any other words.
For example. The term ‘water feature’ could be shown with any variation. i.e.: water pump feature, water house feature, feature water house, feature hose water.
Exact Match: Exact match keywords are exactly how they sound, an exact match of the keyword searched for.
For example: The term ‘water feature’ would only be shown when that term is typed in.
