Who can forget the 2000 Bush v. Gore election where the liberal Miami Dade canvassing board started manual hand recounts of election ballots in only specific districts requested by Gore's attorneys. Roll the clock forward to 2006 where the wealthy Miami-Dade county government has the cash to buy 300 Toyota Prius' and park them in a garage for 6 years.
You have to have something inconspicuous when you're out having affairs, working shady deals, and simply committing illegal or unethical acts. They forgot about the Priuses while using their other garage full of white civics.
300 cars x USD$22,500 per car = 6.75 million county taxpayer dollars spent on a resource that went unused for more than half a decade. I don't live in Miami-Date, but if I did, this would be way bigger than the GSA Las Vegas bash. How does a county misplace 6.75 million dollars for 6 years? How much did it cost to store the cars? If I leave my car unattended for a month, it gets towed. How come nobody noticed until a foreign language paper brought it up?
