Your opinions on occupy movement?

I normally don't go to politics and religion, just too much heat in there for my opinion, and so many people who believe in there "beliefs" so much that they end up getting banned or something like that. However, I wanted to see your opinions about this.

What do you guys think of the occupy movement? I've heard of it a lot.

In my opinion, it is a waste of time and if the people doing it, actually spent there times trying to get a job or learn they'd be a lot further in there lives. How do they even pay for food while sitting around all day, where does there money come from?

    Thanks ahead!

Some of the people there are funny.
They have no idea of what Socialism really is, and they dont know that they actually protest to have their rights taken away, or as someone said "they protest, to be shoot if found protesting".

And this old man wants people to work just for food and shelter. It really sounds like he wishes for slavery.

Ya I know , I suggest we send them to North Korea to enjoy the benefits of socialism . It's really amazing how much human stupidity can grow in just two decades . Instead of celebrating two decades of near global freedom people want the hellish communist system back .

Probably originally had a modicum of reason for being, but was swiftly hijacked and degenerated into a circus freak show operating without a license.

Thirty years from now we'll hear people talking about it wistfully like they speak of Woodstock today... it was a union of peace, love and music... bla bla bla... and they'll forget it was really a chance to eat free pizza, take drugs and shake your fist at The Man! while pretending you are changing the world as you search in vain for a sanitary toilet facility. If I was going to make a bet I'm gonna say they're spreading a lot more trash and syphilis than love and equality.

I just found someone who does make sense. He says he is in the 1%. However, i dont fully agree with him but anyway, some of the 99% forgot that not a very long time ago, citizens from socialist countries were trying to migrate [actually to run from their countries] to the USA, regardless of the risks they were taking on their way.

Watching that video, I suddenly felt the urge to donate to the mentally handicapped. Then I took a deep breath, and realized I already do, every time I pay California State taxes.

How people get mentally handicapped when all they have to do is stay away from herd mentality. That they don't is proof enough that the herd instinct is stronger than the will..

They're just highly unorganized. That's they're biggest downside as a whole. However, I do agree with some of their tenets about the 1% and huge corporations. They're just going about it the wrong way. Sitting around in a park, taking up space is not the right way to go about changing things for the better. How about you work on removing some of the politicians, not naming any names, that have gotten us in such a huge deficit with huge bailouts and horrible policies such as the NDAA and talking about waiting until there's no election accountability so that they have *freedom* to do as they please. Again, not naming any names.

Disorganization may just be yet another symptom of their retardation. You listen to Peter Schiff on that video, and you'll find his agenda is not all that far off from the Ron Paul folks, which highlights one of the big reasons they are disorganized. The core OWS people are anarchists. There is not a high degree of interest in bringing about change through the current system. There was a recent interview of Kalle Lasn where he as much as said so. Unfortunately for OWS, without the Paul people, they would have almost nobody attend their events, so they cant grow the set it would take to be rid of them.

There may be a point where change is no longer possible through the existing system, and when we reach that point, perhaps there will be a revolution.

In the mean time, people are doing things to get the change they want, and get rid of the change they don't want. Hatch, Luger, the Senate body count is stacking up. I still get a chuckle out of watching MSNBC's daily announcement that the Tea Party is dead.

When the governments will mind their own business and let the recession process to follow its course, everything will settle. In my country happens the same thing, by the way. They try to help, when they should let the market regulate itself.

    @Obamanation
The fun part in that video is how some of the people there that never studied economy, tries to give economy lessons to an economist:)

Yea, like the saying that the system of law and justice is too important to be left in the hands of lawyers. Or, that vampires should not be in charge of the blood bank. Or that government is too great a stuff to be entrusted to politicians..
