seo friendly or not

    my website url has been changed for 5 days due to some error in my website..due this error i had disable my friendly url.my error is solved and enabled friendly url.so now i have 2 urls for each page one is old seo friendly url and new non seo friendly url..


    this is said to be duplicate content or duplicate url? for which link i need to do seo?

    you can apply redirect. redirect your old URL to new URL.

    simply . old pages redirect to all new pages and so SEO on new URL.

    I completely agree. It's required so anyone going to the old URL, it will redirect them to your new one.

    Go with SEO friendly URL and use canonical link to avoid duplicate issues on website.

    Use the 301 url redirection for the old url to new url..In this way you will save from duplicacy issue.

    If you will have duplicate url you will be penalyzed by Google .

    Make like this choose only one , no matter which and make a default 404 page to bring all the trafiic from the old indexed links back to your site ..

    It is the only thing you can do...

    And if you have a sitemap submitted to Google's Webmaster tools you can put links wherever you like .. google will index your most relevant page to anchor subject.

    I have tested this strategy and works pretty well...But first you have to get rid of those duplicate url's..

    You can use 301 redirect code. You can redirect old url to new one or new url to old one. While using 301 redirect it will be safe from duplicate issue.

    you should apply a 301 wildcard redirect.. that's true.. on some hosting sites you will have the option on your cpanel.
