RSS and SEO.

I recently started up http://www.realitytvplus.com/ and I know that writing unique content for a website is the best policy SEO-wise, but by me displaying reality tv news articles on my site from other sites, via RSS, is this a bad thing for me?

Do any of you guys have any sites that are RSS feed dependant and what advice can you offer me.

i am using feeds+ my own post mix content


lets see waht seo happens.. i used some tools for wordpress for seo.. let google bot coem agin sisnce octber it is not visited my site yet so waiting rite now i have around 500 post on my blog...

 

Are you using javascript rss or php. becaz search engines don't spider javscript rss.

 

My pages are clean html pages, with the rss content seamlessly embedded on them.

I was more concerned about me having content that is also on countless other pages out there, being that it's from RSS feeds. I thought that having similar content hurt you significantly with the engines.

 

u can use feeds from multiple sites rather then single website that will help u little, just search revelant feeds in google and use more then 1.

 

I have good results with the feeds on my SEO site. The bots visit my site regularly and the feed i get from Google News is very relevant to my site too (more targeted). Therefore, i would say RSS is recommended as part of SEO

 

Nowadays, most search engines considering RSS feeds and XML for the websites. i.e. if your website providing RSS feeds means your website is updating very oftenly and giving unique content to visitors. Google also indexing the RSS feeds webpages in the search results.

Remember, after creation of RSS feed just ping to search enigines and try to ping to Search engines always when a new page OR new content added to your website RSS feed.

I think it is good as long as the feeds fit into the content.
I use them on my blog at http://www.wcgermany.org with some degree of success

 

i use feeds.feedburner.com/rorol as my site rss,so how do i ping rss for search engines ?
