Less than $100?

I just received a check from Google for $72.84...how is this possible? I mean I'm not complaining, but I thought they withheld payment until the total was $100 or more. Have they changed that policy?

    Any thoughts?

I haven't heard of people receiving less than 100 dollars from Google, so I'm not sure what's going on there.

It is for a business account (LLC), and not a personal account. Maybe that has something to do with it?

I wish they would change their policy. I'm getting tired of waiting for $100.

It took me over 6 months to reach the $100 mark, but once I started to figure things out I hit $1000 only 3 months later.

I have 2 accounts, in case anyone is confused. A personal account and a business account...and yes, Google allows that :p

I hadn't checked the payment history until you mentioned it!

It shows a "Tax Withholding" of $28.32, which brings my total earnings up to $101.16. Does anyone know that this "tax withholding" is??

Looks like the tax has been deducted.. I'm not from US so I dont know much. Probably someone from US can guide you better regarding tax issues.

Both are strange - I mean, getting a check under $100 and withholding taxes? Wait, maybe the $100 means that you won't get your first check until you've reached $100 but once you do, you'll get a check whatever the amount? My checks have always been over $100, but I don't do direct deposit. Do you do direct deposit?

I've never had taxes taken out of my checks. Thanx for the tax info! I need to find out about this one!

google adsense earnings are taxed and that 28% that Amoy mentioned is true. Only exception is if the income is sent to a business/corporation, and not sure if it's taxed then. Adsense is taxable income all... at least in the USA
