Anyone know if this ad placement is OK?: http://i.imgur.com/ANFum.jpg As you can see, I've blended an ad in to the picture gallery. The ad is the same size as photos, however it is distinguishable (the photos are of dogs - this is clearly advertising a product). I've read through placement policies but it's a bit unclear on images. Anyone got a better idea?
I don't think AdSense allows this as AdSense states to separate ads with site content by atleast 30px.
Google ask for a minimum separation of 150 pixels anywhere visitors could be confused between content and Ads I would suggest that you at least add a title above the Ad unit stating clearly 'sponsored ads' or something similar If you ever get on their radar, you'll find they act instantly with either a warning or closing your account - and it will be a real struggle to get your account open again. Google Adsense Policy states : "Formatting content to mimic ads Publishers cannot implement Google ads in a manner that disguises the ads in any way. This includes formatting neighbouring content to look similar to the ads. If a publishers places ads on non-Google search results pages, there must be a clear distinction between search results and ads. Placing ads to make it difficult to distinguish ads and content Publishers cannot implement Google ads in a manner that disguises the ads in any way. In order to maintain a good user experience, it is important for publishers to clearly distinguish Google ads from site content. This would include placing misleading placement such as: Formatting content to mimic ads Formatting links to mimic ads Aligning images with ads Site layout that pushes content below the fold ..."
You can not put ads in places that would confuse the visitor in to clicking them. Also, that placement is not allowed.
