Nowadays its quite easy to start blogging, but what are the benefits? Of course I would like to have more visitors on my site, but does setting up a wordpress help in that? Later on I hopefully need a blog, but now when I just try to get more visitors, should I spend more time to marketing my site instead of setting up wordpress and make some blog entries that doesn't have much to say?
Just post some good content, make the title interesting and catchy for attract people. More share in social media those posts, you will get more traffic, use subscribe widget for giving chance visitors to subscribe your blog. Regards Debarup

Good point. I'm not a real marketer myself but I used to ask the same kind of question like, how am I ever going to take off into the world of effective marketing if I'm going to be stuck with setting up my blog which means I'd have to waste my time struggling with wordpress plugins and focusing on other technical stuff and wracking my brain with content writing? I didn't realize that all those things would build one after the other to complete the elements into a whole picture about online business that I could understand..
For monetary terms, ask yourself do you have the passion. If you have the passion and the soul in doing things, the monetary effect will come. Patience is virtue.
If you don't actually enjoy blogging itself, there's no point. You need to put out enjoyable content. And yes, Wordpress is alot easier to succeed with.
