Yes, good point, but I think many more people will be hurt by the loss of itraders than people who got affected by fake itraders. People should have the option to transfer all there itraders or start over, their choice, so if they got fake they can choose to start over but those with real ones can keep them.
It should at least depend on the number of negative feedbacks & the itrader score of the user that the feedback came from. The feedback-givers itrader score should be taken into account. Compute them all up divide and whatever to get to an average score conclusion, and the user gets a returned score average of his total feedbacks, and gets to retain that score as his new positive itrader allowance. How do people get percentage of stuff? I'm sure it's some math thing like divide this and subtract that..
why that? there is no reason not to give itraders to people that did business with you and as Shawn mentioned the itraders will be somehow considered within the new system.
Yea, but if I'm not wrong he already said that the itrader will be removed and not considered for the new system.
Well now I'm just happy they're going away coz I just received my first negative feedback (I didn't notice the purchase being away on holiday and was not able to respond for a couple of days). I hope iTraders go away soon coz I hate the red on mine.
haha - exactly for the reason the bad feedback will be not that obvious I think they should stay or be integrated in the new system. Might be a mistake for you but in general I doubt they are not given on purpose.
Truthfully, I doubt they will be integrated into the new system... There are way too many fake positives (money didn't change hands) and quite a few fake negatives as well. Most are probably valid, but that only means 51%.
So is it safe to assume that when this new system rolls out all previous history will be wiped out? Very disconcerting for those of us who have built up genuine itraders over a fair amount of time.
iTrader will be completely wiped out. The Instant Pay transactions will stay. I's not really that disconcerting considering this thread announced exactly that almost 2 years ago so people could start building up their Instant Pays.
The problem with that is that's it's not widely known that you'll be doing this, which means a lot of transactions are not instant pay currently. As an example, I have a red mark on one payment as I wasn't aware the system was in place, so I did what I normally do and that was to pay outside of the system. I understand the need to replace the system due to fraudulent use, but, I find it unfair that those who have built up a good rep through itrader use are penalised for this.
Not sure how else to tell people... we announced it numerous times. Gave people years to build up the their reputation on the new system before the switch. As far as not knowing to pay via Instant Pay, the system emails you instantly when you win as well as puts a note at the top of the sale thread letting you know you are the winner and giving you the link to pay.
The problem I see is that not all transactions can be done via the new system as it is only working for sales and not if you are starting a thread requesting a service.
This thread is getting unnoticed by most of the people due it being in a section at the bottom of the forum index page. You need to make bigger announcements, like sending emails, messages, at the top of every threads listing etc. I thought you were a webmaster, how come you don't know things like these? Don't worry about it being too spammy, this site is already spammed to death.
Yep... to be honest, I'm not sure why I didn't think of that. It's much more clear to people who don't read this forum now.
I agree. I only found out recently about this change, and it's a pretty bloody big one at that. To have built up a big reputation and to have it removed in a second is disappointing to say the least, and you want some notice about it to start using the new system.
