Why do AdSense earnings keep going up and down so fast?

What is going on with AdSense? 2 hours ago I was at a certain dollar amount, then 10 mins later it was all of the sudden 7 dollars less. Then 90 mins later back at the same that it was before, but now it has dropped again by a few dollars.

Its like I made 20 dollars in 2 hours, but then they took 18 of it right back. Why would it show the revenue and then take it away so fast? Do you think Google thought it was spam clicks? I didn't think they took spam revenue out until the final end of month numbers.

This has been happening all month actually. I look at my daily revenue several times a day, and it keeps dropping. Anyone else seeing this?

I saw this once about two days ago, but assumed I must have been mistaken. Now that you say this, though, I guess it was real. Whether this happens much to my account or not, I can't say. I don't check as frequently as do you.

And I am not really checking that often, so who knows how many times it is happening. I just happened to have checked it a few times these past couple of hours since I am currently working on my sites.

But if you have seen it too, it must not be just me. I wonder why they would overestimate by a couple of dollars, and then keep doing it. AdSense has been acting strange for me since 2012 began.

So it's not just me, then. I just really started focusing on Adsense a couple of months ago and I've seen fluctuations, but I thought it was because of my inexperience with placement or something. I had great click through rates for the first 3 weeks, and now nothing for the last 2. It's really frustrating.

Maybe somebody is click bombing you? Google most certainly does take back money for non genuine clicks. It can happy any day of the week..

well google does shows estimated amount of earning, so it could be part of that policy due to which fluctuations may appear, but who knows its just a guess

    Never talk about today's earnings.

That's a rule, you broke it.

That estimated vs actual thing is annoying. $20 just vanished into thin air for me when they calculated last month's earnings :(

A good rule, no doubt. But where's the list of rules? Gotta toe the line.

I don't know about cache but the strange thing is I can not see the impressions in Google website for couple of days back and people do come from google which I have seen in Google Analytics, so something is going on with Google.
