Are there any services similar to AdWords? My ads have been pending approval for over a week and it's just a huge waste of time so far. Are there other similar advertising companies that don't take over a week to approve a simple text ad?

You can go broke using adwords.

Please tell me, how is your organic traffic going, also the keywords you have selected when searched, where do they sit if you do a google search? the best form of traffic is ORGANIC and honestly that is where the best sales come from.
