Placing a video in homepage

Is placing a demo video in home page is a best practice in terms of SEO or not. Where should i place the video. ​

 

Yes, you can place a video in HOME page but please make sure it should open and run within short period of time and the quality wise it should be more stronger so that people like to see and visit us more and more .......

Don't forget to optimize this video too so that search engine crawler can easily crawl it ............

Don't forget to think about the bandwidth it will swallow up, make sure you have a fast server. I done this once on a homepage and the server kept crashing whenever I had over 5 visitors viewing it at the same time!

 

As long as the video streams fast enough, its just fine to place a video on the home page. But yes, you need to optimize your video along with your content on your website. I think this should help!

If you are trying to add videos in your home page its very much possible. You can place the video on the right side of the main page. Its where usually people place them.
