Hi Abl, this is Helen, I tried to submit our website to your directory, but I am afraid I have difficulty in going further,

#1 In the process of "Add site", I was told "A backlink to our directory is not mandatory but recommended.", but when I click the button of "send website", I was reminded of "Backlink is mandatory";

#2 Under the section of "Website language", I was directed to select "Country"

Update me if you fixed the problems.

 

Error will be fixed and directory will be completely rebuilt from the ground up just post the website link here in the thread and you can pm your email & website

Image is how we are going to make the home page to look like, the aim is to have features from many different search engines.

Image crawler functions:

Image crawler 1 crawls website submited by my users.. it indexes images like google so no more depending on google images or other services like thumbshots
Image crawler 2 is made as a backup! it crawls large image hosting sites, this was made so there is always search results for the user!

On another note we will make avaliable to the user 200 pages or more this is more than Goggle we are doing this so websites in pages 150 can also be seen Big G says we found 10,000,000 results but why they only display 100 pages? I let you think about that one

Well we are not only a search engine and we are not set out to beat google, we are an alternative engine that will offer great prices for advertisers and will offer great content to all users.. at this time we will not reveal everrything we are doing in the background so you will have to wait see as is added, we also are open to new ideas.

You are right google is a competive engine but if you are a small company with 0 budget your site will be burried in the listing and your time and effort making great content is lost, remmenber google thought they was the God of the internet untill facebook came along and now tfaceboook is more searched than google. What we want to do is to put the small website owner first be showing more pages at this time 200 pages of results but might go as high as a 1,000. For advertising prices we want to affordability and value for your money most likely it will not be based on keywords prices but in a monthly basis so this way the smaller webmaster can also compete with the bigger company. Equality for all is our aim

Some advice from us! use some high ranking single words keywords in your tags and meta tags Its easier to be found in our engine.. Big G has change the way the rank again and now i hear that blog have lost their ranking value so if you spend time and money in that SEO type now is worthless.

We are different we want you to be found in our search engine. Our ranking criteria will be keyword relevancy and not your website having high traffic and a high number of links.

We firmly believe that if we help you, you will also help us grow so its a win win situation for both of us!

Some news for you guys! in the united states company's are complaining that facebook advertising is not worth the price! see article here
go here to read the article from a large car company in the us. Our point is that why advertising is so expensive in networks and search engines? Very few webmasters are making a profit through these advertising stradegy. We believe to have advertising at really low prices because webmasters need to make money! not every customer going to your link will become a buyer from 100 customers maybe 2 will become buyers. I have spoken for many years about advertising on search engines and social media not been worth the price and here you see it for yourselves!

If you are talking about facebook not many years! but google and others I always had a problem with the advertising prices! sample I buy a worthless keyword like boop one day is work 2 penies per click and by the end of my campaing is not 25 cents per click! i see something fishy there.

 

My advice to all persons reading this thread! do not depend only or search engine advertising to drive traffic as competition on the web is brutal! your site will easily get burried into free listings and when you finally have some money to advertise large companies will stomp you!!! the results....the only ones really making money will be Big G and FB to name a few.

Tell people about your site (out side the web )
Local Newspaper ads
Hand out flyers (mean you give business cards and flyers personally)
Be up to date with seo techniques because how your site indexes changes cause Big G want to control the internet

Your really need to get involved inside and outside the web! advertising on the web I consider 2nd
