on my home page i want to put many many hyperlinks that link to directory sub topics... ie. blue widgets, red widgets, black widgets, etc etc. and up to 300 more on the homepage. so the keyword widgets will be listed 300 times! but the keyword is within unique phrase "blue widgets" and then a few hundred more colors... is this considered keyword spamming? there will be 200 to 300 keyword phrases that are each unique but the word widget will still show up at least 300 times.
Sounds a bit over the top, but if you think that it will help the user/visitor navigate better on your site Google is likely to think so, too...
Of course it is considered as spamming. Now as per new Google penguin update you must follow White hat SEO rules. Please read the Google Penguin update rules.
I would say this is spamming, is there a way you can separate them into different widget subcategories, so you only have the word widget maybe 20 times. ie: Sub Category 1 Widgets: Blue, Black Red... and so on?
It will be considered as spam from my point of view. You should not use 300 internal links to your webpage....
thanks for the feedbacks.. but i have to admit i am still confused as to why "red erasers" + "blue erasers" + "green erasers" + 100 more different colored erasers is keyword spamming. they are all unique phrases... it would be different if i just wrote "the eraser" + "a eraser" + "get eraser" and 100 more like that since google would ignore the "the, a and get" words and then see erasers 3 times as spam... but if a unique keyword is before the word eraser it makes it a unique phrase and will help lead people to exactly what they want which is what google wants. in google webmaster guidelines google says they want you to make site that makes it easy and quick for person to find what they need.
Repeating same word many times is spamming, you can do like this just make a category tab of "erasers" then place all colour names in sub category. Its simple and easy for user also.
I don't think your 2 word combinations are considered as keyword spamming, if they are not that close to each other (like having just a comma between, or other 2-3 words). m2c.
Sure it will be consider as spam. why you are not using like that- there are widgets like red,blue,...... at place of blue widgets, red widgets, black widgets
You can target as many keywords as you want but you cannot include 300 keywords in your meta's. It's considered spamming. You must target 7-10 most keywords that best suits your website.
