Suddenly weird adsense ads

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by teknoledge, Nov 16, 2006.

Everything was working perfectly and I was getting targeted and meaningful ads until my host (server) went down for some reason. That happened 7 days ago and from that point (when the site was up again) I keep getting this weird (like chinese) ads/words !!??

I didnt changed anything and my host says it's upto the script, etc... I'm using vBulletin and vBSEO so I'm sure everything is ok from my side.

Has anybody had the similar or same problem?

    Thanks!

I haven't had this problem, but you can contact Google about it. Another thing that you could do is block the url from displaying those ads on your site with the Competitive Ad Filter when you log into your Adsense Account.

Ive had the same thing happen a few times. I've found it just fixes itself, it seems to be some sort of bug or something.

For me (Europe) the ads look ok on your site... and the "Ads by Google" is in English.

I think that is another language and you don't have that language font package. Check out this thread, a guy was having the same problem.

I think I have a slightly different problem then the guy from that thread... He is actually getting "real" ads but on Chinese (or Japanese) language but my problem is I'm getting some square symbols and hieroglyphs :)

http://www.smartphonestalk.com/ Redirect this page to http://www.smartphonestalk.com/index.php for a while and it will do the trick for you ;)

Its because adsense shows lesser paid ads, when your server get down, untill they cachae again your site, till then redirect using htaccess to full url and check back few days it may take upto one week.

Try and let us know about it, i am sure it will work.
    Best of Luck

As rest of his pages doing fine, i am 100% sure that its matter of crawling.
His site not crawled again by adsense, after his site went down.

    http://www.smartphonestalk.com/register.php
    http://www.smartphonestalk.com/downloads.php
    http://www.smartphonestalk.com/sendmessage.php
    http://www.smartphonestalk.com/lg/1023-review-lg-kg920.html
    ...

and quite a few more. only the views.php is fine.

Thanks for the tips guys :)... I found one more problem which is not directly related to adsense but may be the cause for this problem... It looks like the session is not passed at all when the user is logged in and when you type the domain without "www" prefix !?

I created a test account so you can check it if you want... user: adtester, pass: test

When you type the domain with "www" everythign is working ok but without "www" it seem like the session is lost.

Thats what i wanted to say,
    http://smartphonestalk.com/register.php
    working fine, hope its cachae.

If you are earning good amount you can remove www from your site, in htaccess, so www can be removed via htaccess, if you dont know how to do it, let me know i will paste code for you.

    Thanks
