Do you think it is time to LEGALIZE MARIJUANA?

Marijuana became illegal due to false propaganda, and is currently (In the US), considered a Schedule 1 drug. This is right beside of Heroin. So, let's ask, do you think it is time to legalize it?

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

    Reasons why I think so:

    1. An Apparent Economy Boost

    2. Medicinal Values

    3. A Safer Alternative to Alcohol, and Cigarettes (Which are LEGAL)

-Alcohol and cigarettes cost over 300,000 lives annually, while cannabis contributes to 0. There has never been a recorded death that was contributed by Marijuana.

    4. Take out a black market, and take out criminals. Put it in the hands of supervised stores, and make sure the license to sell is hard to get and easy to lose.

    5. Right to Choose! Marijuana does not make you crazy, or wild. Everyone should have the RIGHT and LIBERTY to choose what they may consume or ingest, especially when it shows no health concern.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

So what do you think? Oh and it would be awesome if you could follow @legalzecannabis on Twitter if you would like to support the cause. I would really appreciate it!

Thanks guys and gals.. Keep it nice!

    Let me say this,

Here in Michigan, it is legal to use marijuana if you have a legit medical condition. When you use a dispensary, the dispensary pays a tax for having that sort of business. In the time that marijuana has been legal for medicinal use, the state has earned millions.

If we want to bring our country out of the huge debt we are in now, we need to make marijuana legal for recreational use for persons aged 18 and over. However, it should be treated like alcohol. You cannot drink and drive, so you cannot smoke and drive. You cannot be high in public just like you can be drunk in public. If they put the same tax rate as cigs, our country would be out of debt completely in 20 years with a positive number.

Legalizing MJ will open more cans of worms then it will close . Once it's legal it will be used just like alcohol and cigarettes by everyone and everywhere . There are millions of kids smoking their ass out from the age of 12 and many of the parents buy them cigs and let them smoke in their own home . Those kids are future healthcare hogs but no one can do shit about it , the irresponsible parents haven't received one single fraking fine .

Also smoking MJ causes lung damage and long term use severely damages cortex functions such as memory and fluid intelligence . The US general IQ and school performance is already as low as it is . It doesn't need another booth to the teeth .

Hmm. Pay for the health care or pay for their incarceration.... As the taxpayer, I choose the former. Its high time we legalalized all drugs, including heroine, and throw 25% of the interdiction/enforcement money we save at addiction treatment. Reminds me of a song...

Not sure why you're always ready to criticize the US. If you want to go that way, you should consider the general IQ in your country (Romania) is lower.

You do realize that I'm pro US , right ? I'm always critical no matter who or what is in the crossfires . Also the difference is 4 points , that's quite remarkable considering our education system is undergoing systematic annihilation and that the number of potheads has shoot up .

Anyway the point is that you're not gonna get any additional rocket scientists by legalizing a drug that turns humans into worthless bags of flesh in the sort term and into health care hogging dimwits in the long term .

“I asked him if I could have a spliff,” businessman and Virgin Group honcho Richard Branson told a crowd gathered at The Atlantic’s Washington offices Thursday, the day after attending the dinner for British Prime Minister David Cameron. “But they didn’t have any,” Branson continued, according to a video of the event as he recalled his effort to procure weed the night before at the White House.

    Politico

For Christ's sake Barry, where are your manners? Foreign dignitary asks for a bit of weed, and that is all the hospitality you can show him? Thats the best the White House, the leader of our nation and the free world can do? Your secret service has a stable of Columbian hookers and you can't produce one joint? Branson must feel like an American might feel, asking for a glass of whiskey in Afghanistan.

along with the things you mentioned, "you don't know until you try." people opposed to legalization of it seem paranoid and short sighted. they seem to think society would go to hell as a result, with people becoming too lazy to go to work and all of that stuff.

So you think legalizing marijuana will make everyone want to do it? Highly doubtful.

I do think, yes. I don't think there's harm in using it so, I guess it's already time to legalize it. I just have no idea why the government is against it.

The federal government feels it can force individuals to buy a product, prevent states from identifying illegal aliens the federal government won't keep out of the country while forcing those states to provide those same illegal aliens federally mandated benefits. The feds also feel they can force churches to provide benefits that directly conflict with their religious beliefs, and threaten/intimidate people who lawfully comply with state drug laws.

Ever since the civil rights movement, states rights have been associated with the segregated south, the civil war, and racism. Obviously, anyone who disagrees with an overreaching all powerful federal government must be a racist.
