What is the optimum number of directory submission per day?

I have 7 months old tech blog. I need to now what is the optimum number of directory submissions per day? I saw that some persons offer 100, 1000 directory submission services on various sites. I think Google like natural links. So if i buy 500 or more than directory submission service Google will punish me?

As per google, yahoo and bing directory submission guideline only 30 submission per day. Otherwise it should be consider as spam post. Please take care at least but best for good serp. Thanks

 

High risk signal are:

1. When a site receive huge backlink from low quality site
2. Backlink are exact match keywords text.
3. Directory submission have similar description and title tag.

Some directories can review your site in a matter of days while other directories may review it in several months so it doesn`t really matter as long as you dont submit your site to low-quality or auto-approve directories. Also, before submitting your link to a directory you can at least check it`s age, PR & alexa rank.

 

directory links seems to be useless after the latest penguin update 4/24/2012. focus on web 2.0 and article submission sites.

 

PER DAY? Are you kidding. You really only need your link listed in a few really good directories.

 

Mass submissions per day are useless from my perspective. Find a few good directories and submit a few per day. Many in a day could be misinterpreted and have a negative result when evaluated by some engines.

 

5 to ten submissions per day still looks natural!

 

i dont think you need to bother with this. I got submitted my site to 10k direcoties in 2 days reason is variable approval rate of each directory.
Ofcourse you should have various titles, description etc so the entries looks natural.

 

Focus on quality, forget quantity.

Get quality content also.

As far as I know Google SERP penalty for quickly increasing backlinks is a reality. Especially when links are from filtered or flagged resourses (farms, non-modedated dirs etc...) I think several (up to 10) submissions per day will look natural if your site has good content and about 2000-3000 unique visitors per day.

i suggest submitting to less than 10 per day. And when submitting make sure you mix directories have different PR.

 

everybody keeps talking about quality. Yes quality but i believe Google gives more cognizance to links than quality content. But i suggested doing both well

 

Those are myths that Google punishes websites that get big amount of backlinks for short period of time. At least that's what my personal experience is.
