Everyone is experiencing the same problem due to algorithm update from Google.My am confused too. Not sure how long it will take to settle everything down.
I think your site has Google slap. Many sites are facing this down ranking because of Google new update. Google penalizes the site that are over optimized or having hidden text.
After the Google's Penguin update on 24th April'2012 some changes are there in SERP. As per Matt Cutts "The opposite of “white hat†SEO is something called “black hat webspam†(we say “webspam†to distinguish it from email spam). In the pursuit of higher rankings or traffic, a few sites use techniques that don’t benefit users, where the intent is to look for shortcuts or loopholes that would rank pages higher than they deserve to be ranked. We see all sorts of webspam techniques every day, from keyword stuffing to link schemes that attempt to propel sites higher in rankings."
Yes we have to wait for google to settle down its algorithms.But, you continue doing the SEO of your webpages.
I think this is Google update and Google has been created new rules. If you did Black hat then please remove all black hat work and use only white hat techniques.
It is clear that Google likes to eliminate the Black Hat SEO. But the problem is that you might have a different view of "Black Hat SEO". Does it start with hundreds of submissions to bookmarking services? Using payed linkfarms or -networks? Builing link pyramids? I think Google has done a mistake with the penguine update, but it will be a matter of time if everybody knows how to bypass the new algorythm.
according to google penguine update keyword stuffing is the one of the reason to get down ranking for a particular keyword. if you have so many keywords in title and in your contents, in images please make it delete otherwise you were not get your site is visible for the particular keyword. Next thing is not to built link in a bulk try to make it in the interval of time because it looks like spamming. parallely you need to get signature from the forums, it will be more effective method now a days to be visible in the 1st page of search results. so instead of submissions be active in the forums is good and also try to be as a gust blogger ask who has a blog and do posting from it you will generate the links. thing is that whenever you post every time the signatures get shown below which google crawls it soon and it get stored in our webmaster tools, here you can analyse your site in linking list for the particular every post.
I am not saying that this i not update in Google algorithm. I was saying that it may be if you are using black hat techniques. I know in apr Google has some changes in his algo rules. But if you are using only white hat techniques so you wll not face any problem further.
