Grim or anyone else here that takes a lot of protein for lifting, is there any product available to stop those not so pleasant you know what? Since upping my content of protein it has become a probelm.

The scoops are kind-of funny. If you take them literally, you'll use the whole thing within a few servings. *shrug*

As far as schedule I'm on a light schedule myself ATM.

Monday is chest day, tuesday is upper and mid back, wensday is legs and lower back, thursday is shoulders and Friday is mostly arms, bi's, tri's with some chest worked in.

Heavy schedule I'll split that up and go in a 2nd round 2-3 times a week for arms, doubling each of my days so axing off fridays arm workout, adding Saturday and have 2 days of each body part.

it's the little things that make the difference. I never use plastic cutlery, large heavy serving fork, spoons, etc...and I've got the bi's to prove it :p :p

Actually I'm wrong, it's my weight gainer that has a huge scoop. My protein is from GNC (I think it's made by them). Can't remember the particular name, because for some reason I like ripping off label on products I buy.

That's supposedly the best thing to do. Do a few light weight lifts and work your way up...each and every time.

For endurance and strength it is, depends on what you're after.
If you're going for being massive with huge bulk you go heavy weights with very few reps.

I hit somewhere in the middle, trying for about 10 reps minimum per set with the exception of my highest weights on any given movement.

Had a feeling on that. Weight gainer is protein powder for many. I myself buy the lowest calorie, lowest carb protein available. Gaining weight is one thing I do not have a problem with :(

It's just a matter of looking descent/good in certain situations e.g while 'surfing'. I don't think I'd ever go after your goals. I'm just not that dedicated.

I have odd genes in me. My uncles on my mom's side are fairly skinny...I'd say roughly 180. High metabolisms, and incredibly long lives. My father's side gains weight very easily. Myself, I can eat tons of food (and I love to), but can only gain weight through the gym. My body has a cut-off point to how 'fat' it can get. It's a good and bad thing, I guess.

Yes.. I am. Exercise and a good diet in general. I'm 35, weight 175, 5'10" high, and bench about 225. Right now I am into drop sets. I've been lifting on an off for 5 years, and seriously for about 2 now. The goal with the drop sets is to bulk up. I got down from 195 (sympathetic pregnancy) 3 1/2 years ago to about 160 and am on my way back to 195, except muscle this time.

I work out at the Y every weekend, and at least once during the week. So 3 days at the Y, and then periodically at home. Got some new olympic weights recently as a new MC Sports opened up near us. Got a great deal.

I spend about 2 hours a week on the elepitical, around 800 cal burn. Really works the glutes and quads. I feel great, and have all but eliminated any lower back pain I used to have.

My long term goals are the 6 pack abs, and benching at least 350-400. I'm not looking to be a body builder, but I'd rather be built for performance, more than looks... We have a lot of "puffers" as I call them at the Y. They are toned, and puff out their chests. They look good, but are all about looks. When it comes down to it, they have no strength.

The best advice I can give is drink a lot, and I mean A LOT of water. I easily put down over a gallon or more a day. I am about 98% on water and water alone. I never have soda in the house, and aside from tea, and of course beer, drink anything but water. The other advice I have is to eat a lot of small meals. Think of your body like a car in the high gas price age. I only put enough energy into my body to get me where I want to go. Eat till you are about 3/4 full. Usually by the time your body tells you you are full, you are over full. I've got a long way to go, but at 35, I feel pretty damn good physically!

I eat a lot of protien and complex carbs... After seeing some pics of GRIM lately, I know I have a long way to go... There's someone with his shit together if you ask me.

Nothing wrong with that at all. ;) I'm just a big guy in general, I'd look dumb w/o enough bulk on me ;)
Yeah I hear you, I'd love to beable to eat whatever I want w/o gaining weight. However I could not gain muscle like I do if I had such a high metabolism. It sure would be nice to have the best of both worlds.

Good advice, I've got a LONG ways to go myself but if you seen pics of me before I started 'about a year ago' I'm pretty happy with how far I've come ;)
