    Hello,

I was ranking on Top 3 for some non competitive keywords... now a spammy blogpost blog (with copied content) is outranking me... So what can I do to reclaim my rank?

I have original content for those keywords but still this spammy site is outrankiing me.. and also there is another site with poor content is at number 1... but that site's home page has a PR5... So what can I do?

    Also,

If I want to build backlinks for the keyword then which methods do you suggest?

If the word is not competitive then it likely is not of much value and I do not understand why you would care if someone is beating you in the rankings. Nonetheless, if truly is not that competitive then a few relevant links from quality sites or a better site IA for your site should easily do the trick.

If you follow the Google guidelines, there will be no problem getting your ranking back.
You should only concentrate on whitehat link building.

If the copied content is on a free host/blog host just report it and they will remove it.

Don't try to spam as well. With the consistent Google Algo update there is a huge chance the site is going to lose its ranking anytime soon.

Instead focus on building quality links from High PR sites on a daily basis.

Blog commenting is also a good way to exploit.

Hey its easy to get a PR5... all we need to do is buy say 4 or 5 PR5 or 6 blogroll links.... but i dont want to get a PR that way... (i have traded quite a lot of paid links) and all the buyers were the so called whitehat SEO companies...

Well, just wait until the google's panda and penguin updates show their effects! And in case nothing really happens, you should try analyzing his site for backlinks and keyword placement and work accordingly.
